Just won this lot. She's my first Totsy. $16 for the lot, aside from a good & needed Hair combing and conditioning, pretty happy with getting one of these Totsy gals. Anybody care to educate a newbie about Totsy? What country do they originate from? They seem to be one of the coolest Fakies without being a pure clone. Gotta' love that mischievous eye! ;D

Ah! I recognise that photo! Months ago I asked that seller if I could get that Totsy singular since I didn't have the cash at the time for all four, they declined but it was fine as I managed to find a seller at the Arena selling one in the same colour. That lot has been around for a while, I'm glad they all found new homes!
I have three Totsys, but I couldn't tell you much about them, except they've been around since the 80s [It's says 1983 Totsy on one hoove] The most common design for them is the little white bows on their necks, rarer ones have flowers or rainbows. They also came in a set with a doll with matching hair colour and rarer still are earth pony totsys and flocked ones. Their horns turn green, especially the lilac ones so if you ever gave them a lick of paint they'll turn out nicely, I still have to paint the horns of my yellow and pink ones, but my lilac one came out beautifully!
They are definitely one of the best fakies. Very well made and very popular! I think most folk around here are all after one [Or many lol] I think Totsy is an American toy company? I am not sure though.
Knotty is the one in the real know about Totsys I reckon, she has a good lot of them!

I have wanted a Totsy ever since I was a little kid. It was one of the few fakies I wanted back then. I just remember some little neighbor girl bringing a MIB set to the playground and opening it there... and me drooling all over the unicorn with it's shiny gold horn and mischievous eyes. I vaguely recall that she had an orange one.
I still don't have one.

Ooh, another Totsy fan. I'm just rabid for Totsys! I've got a full dozen of them so far. ;D Not much is known about them. Like Halicat said, they're stamped 1983 and come in various designs. Some of them were sold with a doll, in a boxed set like this... I'm not sure if they also sold the ponies by themselves on a card, or if all Totsys came with a doll. I do know that the dolls seem to be pretty rare nowadays. It's kind of hard to tell from the photo, but does she have a gold string around her neck? I suspect it's original. You can see it in the MIB photo, going from the neck of the pony to the wrist of the doll. My only Totsy doll is still tied to her pony as well. Congrats on your first Totsy!

She arrived! Ignore the poor quality of the pic, it looks a little orange from the camera. Yes, she has the original gold string around her neck.

Sweet fakie site!
Damn, I just realized it's been like a year since I worked on my fakie site. I wonder if it even exists still.
