I'll link to the thread someone posted on the Arena: mlparena.com/Forums/viewtopic/p=3082205.html#3082205But apparently a fakie type known as Ja-Ru's Pony Land scented fakies have been included on an 'unsafe toy' report from 2008. No idea if this was known already but I thought it was worth passing on.

Thanks for the heads up! Here's a screenshot of the info, for people who are too lazy to go through the links.

Honestly, unless you are buying the fakie for a child, I wouldn't be too concerned. Adults (most anyway) don't stick toys in their mouths. And if one is concerned about touching the pony, keep it MOC, or wash your hands after dealing with it. Really, we are constantly being exposed to even more dangerous chemicals (among other dangerous things) everyday of our lives, completely unaware. A few fakies with "higher than allowed"* phthalate levels is not going to kill you. There are plenty of other things that probably already are. *keep in mind that the level of allowable phthalates was lowered recently, so we were being legally exposed to high levels years prior to the change.
