I thought I should post this here as this is something very important. A couple of days ago via angelberries on the MLPArena I came aware that there is a 'Starrypawz' on Ebay. I was sent a message from her asking if I was that person as I'd won an auction and she hadn't heard from me in a month. This 'Starrypawz' on Ebay is not me! I do not use Ebay and have never joined. So if you have any issues with this seiller/buyer please do not note me about it as she and I are not the same person. This thread contains more info about this: mlparena.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=244106.htmlIt seems she's a dogdy Ebayer as well so I'd advise caution if you deal with her. I just thought you guys ought to know about this.

Oh that sucks I think someone else claimed the user name Halicat on ebay before I did, but I went with *halicat* as my user name over there That's just horrid, I reckon that person is a pony forum lurker and just wanted your user name, happens a lot.
I'm sure with the addition to your sig you will at least avoid any angry pony sellers flaming you in notes or leaving bad feedback [Though I suppose mods can delete that for you once the issue is solved, all the same though :S]

Yeah, it's just really, really annoying. It still seemed odd though how it was copied straight off and not say starrypaws or starry_pawz ect which I would have expected to see. But it sucks how this other person seems to be a shady buyer.

I saw the thread on the Arena... what a crappy thing to find. I am sorry this is happening to you, Starrypawz. A lot of times these things can be just coincidence... like when I recently went to join YouTube, signing up under a user name that I haven't really used much, and discovered it was already being used. I know this person didn't copy me, since like I said, I don't use the name a whole lot (I am planning on changing that, though I think I will have to make note that I am not that one on YouTube).
However, her attitude, and the fact she definitely knows of the pony community, makes me suspicious she purposely chose a name used by someone else, so if she did something wrong it would be blamed on an innocent party. Who knows, maybe she has done this thing before. I do recall we have had scammer type people on Ebay using names of pony collectors before, and the resulting confusion and anger it caused.

Thanks, yeah it's just really, really fustrating. Oh yeah and apparently according to an Arena member fake!Starrypawz posted up something on Ebay saying she needed to sell her ponies because she was moving me and then closed the auction 30 minutes later, someone saw that who've I've done a fair share of buying for and was actually thinking of contacting me to see if something was wrong. 0.0

I used to go by Stoner Kitty until a "friend" of mine decided that it was going to be HER screen name instead, and started using it everywhere. I eventually had to stop using it because I didn't want people confusing her shenanigans with me. She didn't to business under the name or anything like that, but still, I know how frustrating it can be to have someone swipe your username, intentionally or not. I'm sure the disclaimer in your signature will help clear up any misunderstandings.

Yeah, I see that update to the thread on the Arena. She stole another Ebay users name by adding an extra "x"! This person definitely has issues.
