I miss cheese Sod the meat - been veggie since I was a baby as I'm intolerant to meat protein and could never keep it down. But now it looks like I've become intolerant to various protein found in dairy products too A life without cheese is a life without meaning

Gah I know how you feel sarah - Im allergic to milk wheat yeast & cheese (but paints is naughty & still eats it all) and actually had a stint where I didnt eat any of it, and its so hard! I could deal with no meat I think, just missing out on cheese & bread & stuff, its all to yummy

Thankies KK It really sucks - being intolerant is possible worse than being allergic. At least if you're allergic you know that you CANNOT have it as you're putting your life at risk. Being intolerant for me means at best being in bed with gutrot for a day and at worst projectile vomiting everywhere. But such a small price to pay for that one slie of pizza.......mmmmmmmmmmm......pizzaaaaaaaaa...... *drool*... BUT I have been everso good for the past six weeks, thankfully I love a good curry (I have a slight bhuna addiction at the moment though lol) and I like jackets spuds with beans. I had a packet of cheese and onion crisps last night (they have milk powder in) but such a small amount has only given me a slightly dicky tummy, so now its just a case of finding out what quantities of what make me ill. Dr said it could take months as she's recommended going straight vegan for three weeks, then trying a bit of dairy at a certain quantity, then going vegan for another three weeks etc etc.

Yeah I know ladies, two different things, but sorta similar in the way you know you shouldnt have them but still do (sometimes or in paints case always) but yeah, I think that being intolerant would suck moreso than an allergy, I mean, I dont get anything too nasty which is good, but I know I shouldnt be having stuff either. And with pizza you can make nice homemade stuff without cheese I had pizza last night & I think it would have been pretty good with no cheese - it was chicken caesar, veggies, tomato sauce (not paste like a light sauce) chicken & bacon with caesar dressing - yummy! I dont think it really needed cheese and probably could have just had the veggies with no chicken or bacon too, it is that good ;D
