I saved this picture form a website. It is a backcard of a fakie. I clearly remember that I read on the website that the ones pictured on the backcard are prototypes and are the wrong colors! The ones that were actualy produced have different colors. Does anyone know what the right colors of these mommy and baby sets are??? PS: I think the colors on all but the highest set look nice, why would they change that?

? It looks like a new member currently has one for trade. The image is photobucket so when I tried to download it to add it here it mashed down I'm linking but if it isn't visible when you see this: IT APPEARS TO BE THE PURPLE ONE FROM THIS IMAGE : Same (Star) Symbols : Purple Body similar color maybe not quite so vibrant : Rose Colored Pink Hair Sale post here mylittleimposterpony.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=sales&action=display&thread=565this link probably won't work ; i2.photobucket.com/albums/y2/Rabbit_head/Mobile%20Uploads/08302011-004.jpgedit: it does right now (Also I MAY have seen the WHITE one actually in person in Walmart stores; Both: in the Color Scheme Shown (if you look at the pic White is the only one with the spindly thin little tail they really do have so she may be a real production model and the others not) ; AND with Green Hair Instead I remember that Balloon Symbol on a White - Green Haired one I wanted to buy but didn't get, baby was there too.)

I have the one that's for sale, but I figured she's from this set: Maybe she was also this color in the mommy and baby set, I don't know Now that you mention it, I'm pretty sure I've seen that white pony with balloon symbols with green hair too...

Now that you mention it, I'm pretty sure I've seen that white pony with balloon symbols with green hair too... You have ! ! ! I haven't seen her since I didn't get her About the Purple one it was ONLY a GUESS of mine since her colors were similar and symbols the same. But what Store OR Brand is the backer card (or what store your set was) from? Does it say? This pony mold is so everywhere and at the time I saw my green-haired one I think she (this mold) was being released in at least 4 to 8 colors for a couple months at Walmart. (on 2 pony -- matching colored on card and blister pack sets -- just 1 mommy and 1 baby) My first guess was that whether or not they did release the colors shown - they released so many more different colors afterward that it could seem to anyone purchasing one that the colors available at the time didn't match at all with what the card shows.

I've spotted a BLUE one with a properly painted bridle (the photo is beneath your photo) (that is one thing that *MIGHT* help us identify them even though many were released sometimes the bridles were different colors or not painted...BUT most of these are shown with Blue Bridles with a Yellow Decoration) I've spotted a blue one this color for sale but it has Yellow hair - not pink Attachments:

Ah! Those all really look alot like them indeed And like the person who had the backcard said, with different colors, so those may be the right ones... I wonder if the hair of the pink one in the last photo is really as light as it seems, lighter than that of the one in the box of four which I posted... that would be a good way to tell them apart There is no brandname on the backcard, just the picture (or it must have been cut off in an editing program by the uploader).

(edit: if lighter and darker pink hair would let you tell the versions apart I understood ) might be one more color The Mommy has such pretty curly hair. Attachments:

Sorry I have only the ability to put one picture per post. So the Colored Mommys seem to have Blue Bridles and the White Mommys Pink Bridles for an identifier The Babies DON'T seem to have a diaper, - which ~might~ be an identifier, I *think* this mold of baby usually does have a diaper painted on? I really believe I DID SEE HER IN THESE COLORS on the shelf at Walmart I think they had at least 2 Colors of Mommy Baby sets with each type of symbol [ballons, stars, and each] that I saw in stock at that time. The hair may have been a bit brighter shade of pink... Attachments:

Thanks for the pics! I'm not sure if you understood correctly, I think you did, what I meant was that the lilac one in the boxed set of four seems to have darker hair than the loose one with the baby that you posted the pic of (by Ahrian). So if that is really the case, and not caused by the lighting, then that would be the way to tell the two slightly different lilac mommies with falling stars symbol apart About the pink mommy and baby with light blue hair that you posted... that mommy definately has a lighter shade of blue hair than the one in the boxed set of four, not due to lighting, both versions really exist She has an umbrella symbol like the top one on the backcard, so that may be the fourth set we were looking for, assuming it is true that all four sets were indeed released in different colors than those on the backcard, like the person who has the backcard said. Then the ones pictured highest on the backcard have light blue hair instead of orange, the purple ones have pink hair instead of dark purple, the white ones have green hair instead of pink and the blue ones have yellow hair instead of pink. Would be cool if these are the correct ones The fact that you think you've also seen the white mommy with pink hair makes it difficult though Are you sure you've seen it? You say you're pretty sure that for each symbol two differently colored mommy + baby sets were available? I have to say that I have seen all four color-combos that you posted loose pictures of for sale sometime on the internet (loose not MOC, at MLParena, ebay etc) but never the color-combos on the backcard... so it's hard for me to believe they really exist

I ONLY think the WHITE with PINK HAIR EXISTS
Because I am almost sure I saw her a week or two before I saw the green hair set I wanted.
The Other Colored Sets I saw at the time were NOT like the backard ones but I don't remember what they were like.
I just noticed the Balloon designed ones because I thought the balloon design was cute - (and hadn't seen balloon design before)

Oh it was only about two weeks ago! I figured you had seen them a looong time ago, because the backcard is quite old (3 years maybe) and the ponies that are pictured loose in this thread are also quite 'old' already. But if she's in stores at this moment, they may have released her with pink hair just recently! Maybe you could take pictures of those mommy and baby sets in the store?

No
I mis - communicated terribly on that I'm sorry.
I saw these sets some years back, probably three like it said.
But at that time I was going to walmart every week to two weeks
And at that time 3 years or so ago when we were frequenting walmart I first spotted a Mommy Baby set of ponies I liked the Balloon design on (which I think was the Pink Haired set) and looked at them at least twice but didn't buy them and they sold out. Then about a week to two weeks after seeing the first set I spotted the Green haired Mommy Baby set and I actually did want it because I still liked the balloon design and liked the green hair color more than the first set I'd seen.
I know THEY DID NOT have the parasol symbol pink Mommy with the Bright Reddish hair she was not in stock at all or I would have wanted her.
The only other thing I do remember is seeing the pretty colored star symbols on two different ponies.
